This guidebook describes 33 graded walks and 5 high mountain scrambles in the Sierra Nevada National Park, the highest mountain range in mainland Spain. The routes are spread across the national park, and take in many villages including Trevélez, Lanjarón, Hoya de la Mora, Cumbres Verdes and Capileira.

The Sierra Nevada National Park offers diverse and often dramatic scenery, ranging from rocky peaks and lush green valleys, to arid badlands and tranquil lakes. The 33 graded in walks range from day and half-day walks to multi-day walks taking advantage of the many mountain shelters in this region. Also included are three longer routes: 'Los Tres Picos' (the Spanish Three Peaks of Veleta, Mulhacén and Alcazaba), 'Los Tres Miles' Integral (a multi-day trek covering all the major 3000m peaks in the Sierra Nevada) and an overview of the 302km Sulayr GR240 long distance path.
